Investigating Artificial Intelligence's Potential To Foster Sustainability In Hospitality Education and Training

In recent decades, the hotel sector has progressively adopted sustainability as a fundamental principle, acknowledging its significance for environmental conservation and commercial prosperity. In this context, incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) technology presents an excellent opportunity to enhance sustainability activities, especially in training and development. This article examines the complex relationship between AI and sustainability in the hotel industry, specifically addressing how AI may improve training and development programs to foster sustainable behaviours. The study analyzes the present state of sustainability in the hospitality sector, emphasizing significant problems and potential. “It subsequently explores the possibilities of AI-driven solutions to tackle these difficulties, including optimising resource management, reducing waste, and enhancing operational efficiency. Utilizing AI-driven analytics and predic-tive modeling, enterprises can get significant insights into their environmental footprint and execute focused strategies for enhancement. Furthermore, the article examines how AI may transform training and development in the hospitality in-dustry by customizing learning experiences, delivering immediate feedback, and modeling intricate scenarios. AI-driven training tools may instruct staff on sus-tainable practices, cultivate a culture of environmental accountability, and enable them to make educated decisions in everyday operations. The article also addresses potential obstacles to integrating AI in sustainability efforts, such as apprehensions regarding data protection, technological proficiency, and implementation expenses. Resolving these difficulties necessitates cooperative endeavours across stakeholders, encompassing corporations, legislators, and technology providers. This article highlights the revolutionary potential of AI in enhancing sustainability in the hotel industry, especially through new training and development methods. Utilizing AI enables hospitality enterprises to improve environmental performance while fostering long-term profitability and resilience in a more competitive market context.
