Relationship Between Wiper Ransomware and Ddos At-Tacks On The Network

One of the most important technological weapons in a conflict or war, through the use of cyber capabilities, is ransomware. This tool can operate during both the preliminary stages and throughout the duration of a conflict. Wiper ransomware is a type of cyber threat that, unlike other forms of ran-somware, seeks the irreversible destruction of data and systems—it is not in-tended for extortion, negotiation, or compensation. The evolution of attack targets and the increasing sophistication of intrusions into computer net-works have given rise to a new paradigm, driven by data exploitation in the context of Industry 4.0. However, attacks on this type of data have become a growing challenge for organizations and personnel responsible for managing critical digital infrastructure. This research aims to provide insights into the management methods employed by this type of ransomware across both public and private sector organizations, with an emphasis on military enti-ties. In this systematic review, research papers were analyzed in order to as-sess the feasibility of blocking or neutralizing the trigger or mechanism through which wiper ransomware achieves its objective. We explored the techniques used to detect and prevent this type of malware, focusing on the originality and innovation of the proposed solutions. The study highlights the critical importance of cybersecurity and active defense strategies in pro-tecting critical digital infrastructure. Moreover, the research identified da-tasets and procedures aimed at limiting or completely blocking wiper ran-somware from fulfilling its destructive intent
