Cuida-Ai: Virtual Assistant For Optimizing Oncology Care In Public Hospitals In Recife - Brazil

Cancer is the second leading cause of mortality worldwide, being even more fatal in countries with high income inequality, such as Brazil. The high incidence of cancer in the country demands humanized and optimized care, with technology playing a crucial role as an ally in this process. Misinformation about cancer is one of the biggest challenges faced by the Brazilian population. Solution: The proposed solution is Cuida-AI, a virtual assistant based on Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), designed to provide information on cancer treatments and procedures, ensuring personalized and accessible care 24/7. Method: The Case Study method was used, collecting data from public hospitals in Recife through forms and focus groups with healthcare professionals. This data was utilized to develop Cuida-AI, which was trained using the OpenAI API. Results Summary: Cuida-AI demonstrated a high capacity to accurately respond to questions about cancer treatment, reducing response times and improving access to information.
