The Alpha Robot In The Teaching-Learning Process of Preschool In Public and Private Institutions

Education in Latin America has been implementing educational robotics and the use of robots in the classroom, since it is considered one of the best technological tools. Hence, the research project aims to evaluate the average score of the grades of recognition of laterality and gross motor skills of children in preschool I of a private and a public Educational Unit using the Alpha robot. The problem is the absence of the application of robotics as a teaching-learning tool, especially in a public school, since traditional methods are still used. The application of the Al-pha robot in the teaching process began with an evaluation of the pre-test and post-test, in which it is evident that it has a great reception by the children and that there is an improvement in the learning process. The research process was devel-oped with a total of 26 children, where one group was from a private institution and another from a public institution. The research is of a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional study, where independent samples are considered, which is statistically analysed by parametric tests and Student's T-test. The results obtained in the research process are that there is no significant difference between the aver-age scores of the grades between the private and public educational units in the teaching-learning process of gross motor skills.
