Digital Transformation In Organizations: Document Management

In the process of digital transformation of organizations, the Document Management System (DMS) emerges as an alternative solution to move from a slow process to a more agile, efficient process, as well as reduce paper consumption. One of the challenges institutions face is the DMS adoption and use. Various theories and models have been proposed to determine how people adopt technology, including the Unified Theory of the Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). UTAUT has been used alone or in combination with other theories to study people's behavior towards the use of technology. This study presents the results of the literature review on the impact of UTAUT constructs on the intention to adopt a document management system. The results show that UTAUT constructs influence the adoption of the DMS, and the intention to adopt the DMS influences the use of the DMS.
