Comparative Analysis of Technical Implementation Solutions For Remote Air Traffic Control At Airports
This paper proposes a comparative analysis of different technical operational implementation solutions for remote air traffic control at airports which consist of a mast, typically equipped with at least 10 fixed visual surveillance video cameras and two or even three mobile cameras, providing a 360 degrees panoramic view of the airport in a control room located anywhere designated to aerodrome air traffic control. The paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of various implementation solutions and the criteria by which the optimal solution for a given airport could be established.
